What you are buying
Shalom Desk is a Notion template — a structured workspace you duplicate into your own Notion account. It is not software we host and not a subscription. You supply your own Notion account, which is a separate service with its own terms and its own pricing.
Your licence
One purchase covers one organization. You may duplicate the workspace, rename it, restructure it, and use it indefinitely for that organization's own operations. You may not resell it, redistribute it, or publish it as a template of your own.
If your organization later merges with another, the licence follows you. Just tell us, so we know who to help.
The guarantee
The $149 template purchase has a thirty-day refund window from the date of purchase. If it has not earned its place, write to us within that window for a full refund of the template price. You do not have to justify the request, and you may keep the guide PDFs.
For onboarding, we agree one working area, its initial data source, and the tasks that define completion. The engagement stays open until that area works as described. Confirm scope and kickoff availability before payment; sessions are scheduled within ninety days of purchase. Thirty days of email support after the working session covers questions and corrections to the agreed setup. Additional areas, complex cleanup, and external integrations require a separate scope.
Custom projects begin with a $1,500 discovery deposit, included in the project’s total price and credited in full toward the build. Discovery produces a written blueprint with scope, price, and schedule. The deposit is refundable if you decline the plan before approving the build. Implementation begins after approval.
Setup and updates
The self-serve template includes setup guides and access to released template updates. Your organization prepares its own records and configures access. Updates do not automatically change your customized copy; applying them requires review. Hands-on implementation and ongoing administration are separate services.
What we cannot promise
We cannot promise particular outcomes for your community, and we do not control Notion. If Notion changes its product, pricing, or availability, that is outside what we can guarantee, though we will do our best to keep the template working.
Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Privacy
The short version
We collect as little as possible, we never sell it, and we do not run advertising or tracking pixels on this site.
What we collect, and why
- When you download a guide — your name, email, and optionally your organization. We use it to send the guide and to answer you if you reply. If you tick the box, we may send occasional notes; if you do not tick it, we will not.
- When you write to us — whatever you put in the message, so that we can respond.
- When you buy — payment is processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never touch our systems. We receive your email, the amount, and the receipt.
- Server logs — our host records standard request data. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.
- We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site.
- The Jewish Community Simulator collects nothing at all. No account, no email, no analytics. It runs entirely in your browser.
Who else sees it
Only the services that make the site work: Netlify hosts the site and receives form submissions, and Stripe processes payments. Each keeps your data under its own policy. Nobody else receives it.
Your data inside Shalom Desk
Once you duplicate the template, everything you put into it lives in your own Notion account under your control. We have no access to it, cannot see it, and never will unless you explicitly share a page with us during an onboarding session.
Your choices
Ask us at any time what we hold about you, and we will tell you. Ask us to delete it, and we will, apart from records we are required to keep for tax purposes. Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe.
Reaching a person
Privacy questions, deletion requests, and complaints all go to the same place: the contact page. A person reads it.
